Christmas Cascades, 2021

This painting is based off a photo taken of the North Cascades on Christmas Eve from a hike I did at Wallace Falls State Park in Washington. It had become tradition with my brother to hike on holidays that we spent together, and I imparted that tradition at least a little onto my partner in 2020 when we couldn’t go home for holidays, but we could go outside and have some peace.
