Arizona, 2020

This painting came to be because I was feeling the need to use more oranges and reds in my painting and I wanted to experiment a little bit. I have a friend who is from Arizona so I asked her to share some desert photos with me for inspiration and based this piece off one of those photos. I didn’t realize at the time that this piece would kick off my desert period and be the catalyst to a huge learning and growth in my painting.
