Purple Sun, 2021

Based on a photo taken during a sunrise hike in early spring, in this painting I tried to capture the purple shadows of the mountains early in the day. I love the moodiness of the purples and the darkness of the mountains being so contrasted by the very white snow topping them. This hike was so special to me and the friends I did it with.
