Pink Blossom, 2021

I found some beautiful pink blossoms while hiking with a friend and knew that I needed to capture their brightness. I decided to try a somewhat new to me painting technique with a specific focus and blurred background to capture the joy of being outdoors in the early spring. I came to find that this particular style of floral painting is what I do to reset myself during a painting funk, or just something easy to paint outside when I don’t know what inspires me on a given day.
